Foxface Rabbitfish (Siganus vulpinus) 

A striking and hardy marine fish recognized for its bright yellow body and bold black-and-white facial mask. The Foxface Rabbitfish is peaceful yet confident and is highly valued for its algae-grazing ability. It possesses venomous dorsal spines used for defense, making it a resilient addition to community marine aquariums.

Native:

Western Pacific Ocean, including Indonesia, the Philippines, Australia, and surrounding Indo-Pacific reef systems.

Lighting:

Moderate to high reef lighting.

Placement:

Mid to lower tank levels with plenty of live rock for grazing and shelter. Requires open swimming space. Minimum tank size: 125 gallons (475+ liters).

Diet:

Primarily herbivore. Feed marine algae (nori), spirulina, herbivore pellets, and vegetable-based frozen foods. Will actively graze on nuisance algae in the aquarium. Supplement occasionally with mysis shrimp or enriched frozen foods.

Compatibility:
