Ocellaris Clownfish - Amphiprion ocellari
A small, brightly colored marine fish recognized for its vibrant orange body with three white bands outlined in black. Peaceful, hardy, and highly popular in reef aquariums, this species is ideal for beginners and experienced aquarists alike. Often seen hosting in sea anemones, though they can thrive without one in captivity.
Native:
Indo-Pacific region, including Indonesia, the Philippines, Northern Australia, and surrounding reef systems.
Lighting:
Low to high reef lighting (no special requirements).
Placement:
Mid to lower tank levels. Prefers areas near rockwork or anemones for shelter. Suitable for nano and reef aquariums. Minimum tank size: 20 gallons (75 liters).
