Nassarius Snail - Nassarius margaritifer
A highly beneficial sand-sifting marine snail known for its scavenging behavior. Nassarius Snails burrow beneath the sand bed and quickly emerge when food is detected, helping keep the substrate clean and oxygenated. Excellent member of any reef tank clean-up crew.
Native:
Indo-Pacific region, commonly found in sandy lagoon and reef environments.
Lighting:
Low to high reef lighting (no special requirements).
Placement:
Sand bed dweller. Spends most of its time buried beneath the substrate and emerges during feeding.

Diet:
