Description
A streamlined surgeonfish with a bluish-grey to olive body marked by a distinct dark blotch or patch near the rear body and tail base. It has the classic “scalpel” spine at the tail like all tangs. Active, hardy, and constantly grazing, it is built for life on open reef slopes and lagoons.
