Clibanarius tricolor, commonly known as the Blue-Legged Hermit Crab, is a small and highly active cleanup-crew invertebrate valued for its algae-grazing behavior and vivid coloration. This species is easily recognized by its electric blue legs accented with black striping and contrasting red antennae. Constantly on the move, Blue-Legged Hermits patrol rockwork and substrate in search of algae, detritus, and leftover food, making them both functional and visually appealing additions to reef aquariums.
