Description

The Indian Naso Tang, also known as the Blonde Naso Tang, is a large and elegant surgeonfish featuring a silver-gray body, bright yellow dorsal fin, orange facial highlights, and bold black markings. Mature males may develop long tail streamers, adding to its impressive appearance. An active and graceful swimmer, it makes a stunning centerpiece in large marine aquariums.

Native:

Indian Ocean and Red Sea, including Maldives, Sri Lanka, and surrounding reef systems.

Lighting:

Moderate to high reef lighting.

Placement:

Active mid to upper tank swimmer. Requires extensive open swimming space along with stable rock structures for shelter. Minimum tank size: 180 gallons (680+ liters).

Diet:

Primarily herbivore. Feed marine algae (nori), seaweed sheets, spirulina, herbivore pellets, and vegetable-based foods. Will also accept mysis shrimp occasionally. Frequent feeding is recommended.
