If you are running EcoTech VorTech pumps, the EcoTech Battery Backup provides a simple and highly effective solution to protect your system during outages. Compared to building a custom backup setup, it offers a reliable and integrated option with strong long-term value.
In an aquarium without water movement, fish and corals can begin to decline within as little as 4 to 10 hours. The VorTech Battery Backup acts as essential insurance, maintaining critical flow during power interruptions.
When connected, the battery can provide up to 36 hours of runtime with an MP40w and up to 72 hours with MP10 or MP20 pumps. It is also compatible with EcoTech Vectra return pumps (booster cable required).
