Description
The Biota Tank-Bred Yellow Tang is a vibrant, bright yellow surgeonfish known for its hardiness and adaptability. Being captive-bred by Biota Aquaculture, it is more resilient, less stressed, and better suited to aquarium life compared to wild-caught specimens. It is an active grazer and a popular choice for reef aquariums due to its color and utility in algae control.

Originally from the Central Pacific (Hawaii), but this specimen is captive-bred.

Moderate to high reef lighting.
Placement:
Active mid to upper tank swimmer. Requires open swimming space with live rock for grazing. Minimum tank size: 75–100 gallons (280–380 liters).

Diet:
