Your return pump is the core of your aquarium system—responsible for circulating water and maintaining stability. The Neptune COR series is a variable speed, brushless DC pump designed specifically for aquariums, delivering intelligent control, high efficiency, and near-silent performance.
The COR integrates seamlessly with Apex systems, providing real-time feedback, advanced automation, and remote monitoring, while also offering stand-alone functionality (COR-20).

Stand-Alone or Apex Operation
The COR-20 can operate independently using onboard controls, while both COR models become significantly more powerful when connected to an Apex system. Integration enables advanced programming, monitoring, and automation through Apex Fusion.

When connected to Apex, you can adjust flow output, monitor performance in real-time, integrate the pump into feeding routines, and receive alerts if issues occur—all from anywhere via Apex Fusion.
WhisperDrive Technology
Utilizing advanced BLDC motor control, the COR operates with minimal vibration and noise while maintaining high efficiency and performance.
Obstruction Detection & Protection
If the pump intake or plumbing becomes blocked, the COR will alert you via visual indicators and Apex notifications (when connected), allowing you to take corrective action before damage occurs.
Internal Temperature Monitoring
The system continuously monitors pump temperature and will automatically reduce speed if needed to maintain safe operation—ensuring continued water flow while protecting the pump.
IQ-Level Control
The COR memorizes your desired operating level and returns to that setting after power interruptions. This also helps prevent issues like back-siphoning and unstable restarts.
Easy Installation
Connect your plumbing, power the unit, and set flow using the onboard controls or Apex Fusion. Setup is quick and straightforward.
Included Fittings
The COR includes a full set of plumbing adapters, allowing flexible installation with minimal head loss when properly configured.
