Description
The Orange Basslet, also known as the Blue-Eye Anthias or Lyretail Anthias, is a vibrant and active reef fish recognized for its brilliant orange to reddish coloration and attractive blue-purple facial markings. Males generally develop more intense coloration and elongated fins compared with females. This species is an energetic midwater swimmer that spends much of its time above the reef, feeding on plankton and small foods carried through the water column.
