Description
Neptune Systems PAR Monitoring Kit (PMK)
What’s Included
- Advanced Sensor Module (ASM)
- PAR Sensor
- Real Reef Rock Sensor Housing
Continuous PAR Monitoring for Your Aquarium
The Neptune Systems PAR Monitoring Kit (PMK) allows you to monitor and log your aquarium’s light levels 24 hours a day. It is an essential tool for fine-tuning your lighting setup, helping ensure your corals and plants receive the optimal amount of light—no more guesswork.
Key Benefits
- Continuous 24/7 light-level monitoring
- Measures true PAR (Photosynthetically Active Radiation)
- Helps prevent coral bleaching and light damage
- Includes Advanced Sensor Module (ASM)
- Sensor discreetly housed within Real Reef Rock
- Optimise lighting based on real data
Measures True PAR
The PMK measures actual PAR—the spectrum of light (400–700 nm) used by corals and plants for photosynthesis. This includes the energy utilized by zooxanthellae algae within coral tissue, making accurate PAR measurement critical for reef health.
Discreet Sensor Design
The PAR sensor is housed inside a custom Real Reef Rock structure, allowing it to blend naturally into your aquascape. This enables accurate in-tank readings without visible equipment disrupting the display.
24/7 Light Tracking
Track and log light levels continuously over time. Review historical data, compare daily light cycles, and refine your lighting schedule with precision. The PMK also allows comparison of lighting profiles with other users for further optimization.
Prevents Coral Damage
Human vision cannot accurately detect high light intensity levels, often leading to over-lighting. The PMK provides exact PAR readings, helping prevent coral stress, bleaching, or damage caused by excessive light exposure.
No More Guesswork
When used with an Apex controller, the PMK integrates with Apex Fusion’s lighting tools. This allows you to overlay actual PAR data with your lighting schedule, making adjustments more precise and data-driven.
Advanced Sensor Module (ASM)
The included ASM expands your Apex system’s capabilities, allowing connection of additional Neptune Systems and compatible third-party sensors. This modular design ensures future expandability and integration.
