Pygoplites diacanthus, commonly known as the Regal Angelfish, is one of the most iconic and visually striking angelfish in the reef aquarium hobby. The Red Sea variant is especially sought after for its richer coloration and superior hardiness compared to Indo-Pacific counterparts. This species is instantly recognizable by its bold vertical striping in electric blue and white, vibrant yellow to orange flanks, and distinctive dark facial mask. Elegant yet commanding in presence, the Regal Angelfish is a true centerpiece fish that rewards patience and proper care with unmatched beauty.
