The REEFER S-850 G3 is part of Red Sea’s S-Series, designed for aquarists who want a larger, more spacious system without compromising on structure or functionality. Built to Reef-Spec standards, this system offers a strong foundation for advanced reef setups while maintaining a clean and modern appearance.
The REEFER S-850 G3 Aquarium
The S-Series expands on the standard REEFER design with increased depth and width, providing more room for aquascaping and improved water volume. The aquarium is constructed from ultra-clear glass and reinforced with eurobracing for added strength and long-term stability.
A low-profile overflow box with dual side-facing return outlets allows flexibility for single or dual return pump configurations.

Aluminum Marine-Spec Cabinet
The system is built on a reinforced aluminum frame, with marine-spec cabinetry mounted directly onto the structure. Adjustable leveling feet ensure stability on uneven surfaces, while the exterior panels provide a clean, finished look. Available in black or white.
Reef-Ready Sump System
The main sump is refugium-ready and features an adjustable skimmer chamber with a water level range of 20–28 cm for optimal performance.
This system also includes an extension sump, which can be used as:
- A dedicated frag tank
- A larger refugium
- Additional filtration space
- Or a standalone ATO reservoir
The sump is compatible with a wide range of equipment, including:
- ReefMat 1200 Fleece Roller Filter
- REEFER DC 900 Protein Skimmer

Ready-to-Use Plumbing
All plumbing is pre-assembled for straightforward installation with no gluing required. The updated layout improves flow efficiency, while the ReefGate valve allows precise and quiet adjustment.
The S-850 G3 also features upgraded 32 mm return piping for improved flow compared to previous models.
ReefATO+ Auto Top Off System
The included ReefATO+ integrates multiple monitoring and safety functions:
- Automatic Top Off: Dual-sensor system with built-in backup protection
- Temperature Monitoring: Pre-calibrated sensor with ±0.1°C accuracy
- Leak Detection: Titanium probes detect both saltwater and RO/DI leaks
All functions are managed through the ReefBeat app, allowing real-time monitoring and alerts.
