Description
Ctenochaetus marginatus, commonly known as the Yellow Kole Eye Tang, is a sleek and functional bristletooth tang valued for its subtle coloration and constant grazing behavior. This species typically displays a soft grey to olive body accented with fine horizontal striping and a distinct yellow ring around the eye, giving it a clean and refined appearance. Its understated look is complemented by its active nature and utility in maintaining algae control within reef systems.
Native to the Indo-Pacific, the Yellow Kole Eye Tang inhabits reef slopes and lagoons where it continuously grazes on detritus and microalgae, making it a beneficial addition to established aquariums.
