Lyretail Hogfish – Bodianus anthoides

Bodianus anthoides, or Lyretail Hogfish, is a vibrant Indo-Pacific species admired for its bold coloration and distinctive lyre-shaped tail. Juveniles exhibit striking red and white banding that transitions into softer pink and crimson tones as they mature. This hardy wrasse is active, inquisitive, and thrives in established marine aquariums with ample rockwork and swimming space.
